Barney was born December 31, 1945 in Canton, Ohio to Robert and Evelyn Barnhouse.Barney was the biggest car enthusiast. He spent a lot of years racing his '69 Chevy Camaro down racetracks including Magnolia, Norwalk, Dragway 42 and Salem. He spent his spare time restoring classic cars which made appearances for the infamous Goodguys Car Show in Columbus. For 45 years he owned and operated Tin City Auto Sales in Minerva.Barney met Patricia ("Pat"), at age 16 during a Sandy Valley football game. In 58 years together they had two daughters: Heather (Scott) Zollars and Heidi (Dale) Soles. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Kaylee (Austin) Krinn, Brady Kovach & Cameron (Brynna)Zollars and great grandson Zayne Zollars.Thank you to the staff at Elara Caring Hospice for their compassionate care specifically nurses Michelle and Lynnette. A special friend of the family Jamie Haymaker.Barney's impact on the community and his family will never be forgotten. Please keep our family in your thoughts.At this time, there are no plans for services.
