He was born in Granville County January 2, 1960 to the late Fred Lee Harris, Sr. and Ella Lewis Harris and was a member of Macedonia A.M.E. Church in Milton, North Carolina.He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his only son, Robert Elkerson of Oxford, North Carolina; siblings: Belinda Ann Harris of Durham, North Carolina, Fred Lee Harris, Jr. of Roxboro, North Carolina, Weldon Lewis Harris of Virgilina, Virginia, Wanda Laverne Harris of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Tammy Maria Nelson of Roxboro and Kimberly Shannon Harris of Durham; two aunts: Annie Torain (Kenny) of Roxboro and Queen Steele of High Point, North Carolina; three uncles: William (Bill) Hargrove of Chapel Hill and Eric Cash and Calbert Clayton, both of Roxboro; one sister-in-law, Terri Harris and one brother-in-law, Otis Todd Nelson, both of Roxboro; three step-aunts: Sue Betty Chavis, Zelma Smith and Allen Gile, all of Roxboro; three step-uncles: H.T. Bass, Stanley Bass and Jerry Bass, all of Roxboro; his best friend, James Lawson of Oxford; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.The funeral service will be held Friday, March 20, 2026 at 1:00pm at Cunningham & Associates Funeral Services with the Reverend Willie N. Yancey, Pastor at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Nathalie, Virginia, providing the eulogy.
