Robert "Bob" Allan Creighton Obituary March 10, 2026 - Picayune Funeral Home

Covington, LA

Robert Allan Creighton, affectionately known as Bob, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on March 4, 1942, in New Orleans, Louisiana, he lived a life centered on family, friendship, and deep faith.

For more than 63 years, Bob shared a loving marriage with Ann B. Creighton. Together they raised a family that included their son, Robert Creighton Jr., and his wife, Vicky; their daughter, Patrice Everett, and her husband, Michael; and his sisters, Linda Palazzo and her husband Joe, Jane Brady and her husband Tom, and Bobbie Jean Creighton. He took great pride in his grandchildren, Creig Everett, Jeremy Everett, Robert Creighton III, Katie Smith, and Chad Creighton, and his cherished great-grandchildren, Mallory, Natalie, Daniel, Elijah, Valor, and Easton, with one more on the way. The time spent with his grandchildren brought him lasting joy and purpose.

Bob worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator and was a proud member of Operating Engineers Local 406. He later served as Director of Facilities at Boomtown Casino. His faith remained central throughout his life; he served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Luke’s in Slidell and Most Holy Trinity in Covington, and was a founding charter member of the Knights of Columbus chapter at Most Holy Trinity. During the COVID pandemic, he spent many hours making rosaries to give away, offering quiet encouragement to others through prayer. In 2001, he enjoyed a memorable adventure participating in the History Channel’s “The Great Race.”

He was preceded in death by his father, Earl “Tom” Creighton; his mother, Jane Graffeo Creighton; and his brothers, Oris and Thomas Creighton. Bob’s legacy of love, laughter, and steadfast commitment to God and family will continue to inspire everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
