Robert A. Thomas of Warminster, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 8, 2026, at the age of 81, surrounded by the love of his family in the comfort of his home. Born on February 8, 1945, in Dunlo, Pennsylvania, to the late Donald and Sophia (née Turk) Thomas, Bob was raised in Sidman and graduated from Adams-Summerhill High School in 1963. He served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967, stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. Afterward, he moved to Bucks County with his brother John, attended computer business school, and began a 27-year career with Prudential in 1971. He later worked for a few years at Lowe’s in Warrington before retiring.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife of more than 50 years, Claire (Horwath), and is survived by his children, Dolores Boland (Brian), David Thomas (Yvonne), and Kimberly Stanley (Ryan); his grandchildren, Anthony, Allison, Caleb, Lucas, Paige, Christopher, and Elizabeth; and his great-grandchildren, Luka and Nana. He is also survived by his siblings Ronald Thomas (late Joanne), Kenneth Thomas (late Suzie), and Melinda Jerome (Terry), along with sister-in-law Norma Thomas (John) and brothers-in-law James Patterson (Betty) and William Hudson (Sue), as well as a loving extended family and many friends.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Bob cherished time with his family above all else. He loved the outdoors, particularly deer hunting and trout fishing as a member of Great Swamp Fish and Game in Quakertown. He also enjoyed reading his newspapers, working on sudoku puzzles, and listening to his favorite music. Known for his humility, kindness, and gentle sense of humor, Bob brought warmth and laughter to everyone he met.
