Rita Louise Ditzfeld

Rita Louise Ditzfeld, 70, of Sedalia, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026. Born on July 26, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Garnett and Mary Lou Pierce (Heinzelmann), she grew up in Independence, Missouri, alongside her brother Ron Pierce. Rita possessed a loving and fun personality. She loved to laugh and cherished spending time with friends and family. She found great joy in music, singing, dancing, and good movies.

Rita was preceded in death by her father, Garnett Pierce; her brother, Ron Pierce; her daughter, Rachael Thompson; her son, Alan Cantrell; and her granddaughter, Sylvia Heaton.

She is survived by her mother, Marie Pierce; her children, Sean Pierce (Terri), Jesse Thompson, Sara Heaton (Darren), and Aran Cantrell (Kasey); and her grandchildren, Alexis Pierce (Austin), London Pierce, and Brantley Johnson.
