She grew up in Independence, MO. alongside her brother Ron Pierce. Rita had a very loving and fun personality. She loved to laugh and spend time with friends and family. A lover of music, singing, dancing, and good movies.Rita was preceded in death by her father, Garnett Pierce; her brother, Ron Pierce; her daughter, Rachael Thompson; her son, Alan Cantrell; and her granddaughter, Sylvia Heaton.She is survived by her mother, Marie Pierce; her children, Sean Pierce (Terri), Jesse Thompson, Sara Heaton (Darren), and Aran Cantrell (Kasey); her grandchildren, Alexis Pierce (Austin), London Pierce, and Brantley Johnson.A memorial service will be determined at a later time.Obituary submitted by the family.Arrangements by Royer Funeral Homes.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
