She was predeceased by: her parents, William Harold Wininger and Cloeva Mae Wininger (Armes); her husband Michael "Renegade" Couch; her stepfather Bert Meacham; and her siblings, Rick, Don, Leon, Dean, Kevin Wininger and Kay Wininger.

She is survived by: her son Nathan Gugle (Shae) of West Frankfort; her grandchildren, Zachary Gugle, Madison Gugle and Jeffery Gugle; her brothers, Mike Wininger of West Frankfort, Larry Wininger (Betsy) of West Frankfort and Gerald Delgy (Dianna) of Reno; and her close friends, Rosemary Joplin, Tina Lindsey and Jan Stallings. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Reedy Funeral Home (604 E Main St, West Frankfort, IL 62896). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Rita and will be accepted at the funeral home. Keep Rita's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
