Rita Dianne Reeves

Rita Dianne Reeves, 72, of Beaumont, died on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Born on August 30, 1953, in Beaumont to Evelyn Louise McKnight and Edgar E. Smith, Jr., Rita lived a life deeply rooted in the community she called home.

She is survived by her husband, James H. Reeves; her siblings, Edgar Smith III and his wife, Reba, and Patricia Smith Puente; and her beloved pet, Stella. Rita was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Linda Hebert and Mike Smith; her brother-in-law, Richard Puente; and her cherished pets, Dolly, Cookie, and Nyla.

Those who knew Rita will remember her quiet strength, her devotion to family, and the gentle companionship she shared with both loved ones and her pets. She leaves behind a family that will carry her memory with deep affection and gratitude for the years they shared.
