November 20, 1960— March 10, 2026
Oklahoma City, OK
Risa Fuzzell, 65, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on March 10, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 20, 1960, in Norman, Oklahoma, Risa lived a life defined by quiet generosity, warmth, and an unwavering devotion to her family.
She graduated from Moore High School, where she formed friendships she treasured for decades. Risa married Paul Thompson of Moore, Oklahoma, and together they had a daughter, Melody. She worked for many years at Walmart before transferring to Sam’s Club in Norman, where her dependable and kind nature was widely appreciated. Later in life, she attended Brookwood Baptist Church with her second husband, Cliff, who also passed from cancer.
Above all, Risa was most proud of her three grandchildren, Bellamy, Finley, and Wesley, who filled her life with immeasurable joy. Those who knew her remember a woman who was quiet and observant, yet deeply kind and giving. She had a gentle sense of humor that could brighten any moment, and she showed her love through small, thoughtful acts—making blankets and cookies for family and friends, shopping with her daughter, and sharing meals with loved ones. She took pleasure in her cats, her impressive shoe collection, and her fondness for purses, and she cherished simple comforts like a cozy blanket and a good nap.
Risa is survived by her daughter, Melody Wallick; her mother, Imajean Fuzzell; and her sister, Shawnna Fuzzell. She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Fuzzell, her brother, Gary Fuzzell, and her husband Cliff.
