Ricky L. Krueger, a man known for his adventurous spirit and infectious humor, passed away of natural causes on March 13, 2026, in Mishawaka, Indiana, at the age of 68. Born on June 23, 1957, in Niles, Michigan, he was the beloved son of the late Otto H. and Winona (Runyon) Krueger.
Ricky grew up in Niles, where he developed a deep love for the outdoors and remained a lifelong, unwavering supporter of Michigan Football. Those who knew him remember his quick wit, his ability to light up any room, and his talent for making everyone around him feel welcome. He was the life of the party, always ready to lead a dance or tell a joke, and he carried that joyful energy throughout his life. A dedicated factory worker for many years, Ricky also found great pleasure in old-school rock-n-roll, often serving as the enthusiastic “hype-man” who encouraged others to join in the music and fun.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheyenne Krueger, and three siblings, Otto Dean Krueger, Carolyn Hess, and Dennis Krueger. Ricky is survived by his sister, Janice Batson, and his four children, Rodney Crawford of Galien, Cody (Amanda) Krueger of Niles, Chase Krueger of Buchanan, and Shawnee Jackson of Niles. His eight grandchildren, who were the light of his life, will always cherish the memories of his playful spirit and heartfelt storytelling.
