Ricky Glen Langford

November 11, 1952 March 13, 2026

Edgewood, TX

Ricky Glen Langford, age 73, of Edgewood, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026. Born on November 11, 1952, in Wills Point, Texas, to John Henry and Gladys Dixon Langford, Ricky graduated from Wills Point High School and spent his life working hard to provide for the family he cherished.

He worked as a cattle rancher, owned a sand and gravel business, became an ironworker, and later retired from Ingersoll Rand Drilling Solutions. In 1981, Ricky married the love of his life, Teresa Joan “Joanie” Langford. Together they built a life centered around family and raised two children, Corey Smith and Jessica Epperson.

Ricky found joy in the simple things. In his younger years he loved ranching and working cattle, hunting, and fishing. After retirement, he stayed active drilling water wells, spending time with his grandchildren, and piddling around the house. He also enjoyed relaxing with a good western, but most of all he treasured quiet moments with Joanie and his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Gladys Langford; his brothers, Benny Don and Ed Langford; and his sister, Shirley Shaw. Ricky is survived by his loving wife, Joanie; his children, Corey Smith and Jessica Epperson and her husband Brandon Epperson; his grandchildren, Trey Smith, Collin Smith, Graham Epperson, and Miles Epperson; his sister, Pat Hooten; his twin sister, Vicky Lux; and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
