Rickey Riley ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Williamson-Spradlin Weleetka on Mar. 17, 2026.Rickey Lynn Riley was born October 12, 1946, in Pawnee, Oklahoma toMelvin Vester Riley and Phyllis Jean (McIntosh) Riley and passed from thislife on March 14, 2026, at his home in Weleetka.Rickey moved as a child with his family to Riverside, California. Heattended school there where he excelled in sports and lettered three yearsin track and field and baseball. Following his graduation from RubidouxHigh School he was offered the opportunity to play professional baseball asa pitcher, but he returned to Oklahoma instead in the 1960s.He worked some five years for Dayton Tire in Oklahoma City and thenbecame a painter where he worked on several construction sites across thestate.He made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ on March 27, 2024Rickey loved fishing and sports. He was an avid OU football fan butenjoyed all sports, especially baseball. He was also an accomplished poolplayer and competed in several tournaments.He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Kendale Dean Rileyand Lee Wayne Riley.Survivors include 4 children, Bobby Joe Johnson of Del City, Chris Skadleof Edmond, and Mickie Johnson and Jimmy Wayne Riley, both ofWeleetka; a brother Jim Riley of Alma, Arkansas; 2 grandsons, Trucky JoeJohnson and Shane Scott Harley; along with several nieces, nephews,other relatives, and many friends.Services will be announced at a later date.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
