Rick D. Ballard

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rick D. Ballard in Franklin Grove, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 4, 2026 at the age of 66. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rick D. Ballard to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Ballard and Audrey Ballard (Woods); his wife Julie Ballard; and his siblings, Lori, Tracy and Dave Ballard.

He is survived by: his children, Jenny Zigler of Deer Grove, Jessy Henson of Sterling, Sadie Ballard of Rock Falls, Jaimmy Pasalich (John) of Chesapeake, VA and James Ballard of Sterling; and his siblings, Terry Purvis (Richard) of Rock Falls and Mark Ballard of Sterling. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home (1002 12th Ave, Rock Falls, IL 61071). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
