Richard Wilton Dunn

Richard Wilton Dunn, 71, of Daytona, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026.

A loving husband, father, Pawpaw, friend, Marine, and retired DeKalb County Firefighter, Richard lived a life defined by quiet strength, deep devotion to family, and service to others. He cherished his role as a husband to Carolyn and as a father to his daughters, always making time for the simple joys of being a grandfather to his beloved granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Wilton Dunn, and his sister, Brenda Walker. Richard is survived by his wife, Carolyn Dunn; daughters Jessica (Jeremy) Gravley of White, Georgia, and Valerie Dunn of Woodstock, Georgia; granddaughters Amy and Lyla; siblings Leonard (Kathy) Dunn and Patricia Ross, both of Canton, Georgia; along with nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. A celebration of his life will be held in Canton, Georgia, at a later date.
