Richard Cambareri ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Island Cremations and Funeral Home on Mar. 7, 2026.Richard William Cambareri, born October 4, 1978, in Washington, D.C., passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on February 27, 2026, at the age of 47.Richard grew up in Virginia, where he enjoyed an active childhood filled with sports and time spent outdoors. He loved playing baseball and football with friends, riding bikes through the neighborhood, and spending summers surrounded by family. From a young age, he was known for his kind heart, sense of humor, and ability to make friends wherever he went.Richard graduated from James Madison University in Virginia in 2001 with a degree in Psychology. After graduating, he began working as an HVAC technician. Through dedication, hard work, and leadership, he steadily advanced in his career and climbed the ladder from technician to becoming a manager, then eventually a branch manager, a position he proudly held until his passing.In 2021, Richard moved to Florida, where he spent the last years of his life. He never regretted the move. He truly loved the Florida lifestyle, especially the warm weather and the beautiful beaches.It was in Florida that he met the love of his life, Monika, in 2023. They married in 2024 and made their home together in Cape Canaveral, living by the beach. They shared a beautiful life together filled with simple joys, daily walks along the shore, cooking meals together, and caring for their beloved four-legged baby, Leo. Together they created their own little paradise, living a peaceful, stress-free life and cherishing every moment.Richard had a special bond with children and animals. He adored his goddaughters, Ann Marie and Olivia, and loved spending time with them. Animals seemed to sense his gentle nature. Every animal he approached formed an immediate connection with him.Richard was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marie and Richard Cambareri. He is survived by his loving wife, Monika; his mother, Kathy McGuinn; his father, Dr. Richard Joseph Cambareri; his sister, Dr. Christine Schaffner; his nieces, Ann Marie Schaffner and Joanna Nowak; his brothers-in-law, Daniel Schaffner and Slawomir Nowak; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.Visitation will be held at Island Cremations and Funeral Service in Merritt Island, Florida, on Wednesday, March 11, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.A Mass of Catholic Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 12, at 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Community in Viera, Florida, with interment following at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge, Florida.Richard will be remembered for his kindness, warmth, loyalty, and the love he shared so generously with everyone around him.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
