Baggaley, PA
Richard Walter “Pun” Guzik, 75, of Baggaley in Unity Township, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Independence Health System Latrobe Hospital.
Born on April 23, 1950, in Latrobe, he was the son of the late Walter F. and Pauline (Pipak) Guzik. A graduate of Greater Latrobe Senior High School, class of 1969, Pun served for thirty years as steward of the Baggaley Volunteer Fire Department Social Club. He worked as a groundskeeper at Latrobe Country Club and Glengarry Golf Links, and provided lawn care for relatives, neighbors, and friends. A man of strong faith, he was known for his generosity and for always making time for others. He cherished the outdoors and the company of those he loved.
Pun is survived by his sister, Janet Lekang, and her husband, Donald; his nieces, Diane and Donna Lekang; and his nephew, Kyle Gerner, all of Arlington, Virginia. He shared a close bond with dear friends Joseph Sliz, Della Harr, Al McCullough, and especially Joanne Havrilla, whose care and friendship meant a great deal to him.
Known affectionately as the honorary “Mayor of Baggaley” and the “Baggaley Menace,” Pun will be remembered as a generous, faithful, and warm-hearted man who touched many lives and will never be forgotten.
