Richard said goodbye to life quietly, peacefully leaving his life the same way he lived it, with joy and contentment in his home with family and friends at his side.Those who knew Rick, knew him as someone who was a skilled craftsman, but more than that hew was a generous soul who would help anyone (friend, neighbor, relative, even people he didn't even really know) when they needed a hand. Rick could figure out how repair it, replace it, or rebuild it. He was also a kind, loyal, and forgiving man.Rick loved his wife and was a devoted father to his son Joe.As the end of his life drew near, he took time to visit with his nieces, nephews, sisters, brothers, sister and brother in-laws, close friends, and his best dog friend Izzy.Rick a Vietnam Veteran is preceded in death by his parents Rockwell and Jennie Chapman.Rick leaves behind to mourn his death his wife of almost thirty years Karen Chapman, sons Joe Chapman, and Scott Chapman, along with his brother in-law Ronald Schuelke and sister's in-law Toni (Tom) Reynolds, Sue (Jim) Davidson. Rick also leaves behind his nieces and nephews Katie, Kristyn, Donna, and Anthony, great nieces and nephews and special friends.
