Richard Verboort passed away in March 2026 at home, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Theresa Verboort, their six children and their partners, and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Marie (Sahlfeld) Verboort, his sister Betsy Bochsler, his brother William Verboort, his father-in-law Homer Ackerman, and his mother-in-law Ruth (King) Ackerman Padgett.
Richard will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The memories he created will continue to be cherished by his wife, children, grandchildren, and extended family.
