Richard Schlette

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Schlette (Andersonville, Georgia), born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on March 7, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Richard may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Richard touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Phillip Schlette and Mildred Holder Schlette; his wife Carol Schlette; his children, Catina Nicole Tomlinson (Jason) of Elko and Michael Phillip Schlette of Byron; his grandchildren, Jesse Ethan Tomlinson and Micah Nathaniel Schlette; and his brother Gary Schlette (Linda).

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Andersonville National Cemetery (760 POW Rd, Andersonville, GA 31711).
