Miller, formerly of Bedminster Twp. and Dublin, PA, where he built his homes, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, Richlandtown, PA. He was 95.He was the loving husband of 53 years of the late Gladys M. (Weeks) Miller until her passing on March 4, 2002.Born in 1930 in Doylestown, PA, he was the son of the late William James and Lillian Cheyney (Swayne) Miller.Notably, President Abraham Lincoln visited his great-grandfather, William Marshall Swayne, at the U. S. Treasury building across from the White House. His great-grandfather sculpted President Lincoln, whose sculptures are on exhibit at the Smithsonian Institute as well as other Civil War figures, which are exhibited at the West Chester Historical Society, West Chester, PA.Mr. Miller was raised on a seven-acre farm in Dublin, PA, during the Great Depression. The family was fortunate to have always had food raised on the farm but, in the heart of the Depression, the family was glad for the government subsidies of corn meal and cheese.At the age of 14, he left school and worked for various companies by telling them he was actually 16. He very much appreciated working for the former Big Bet Dog Food Co., Dublin, PA, and admiring the company's owner, Mr. Fickes. He went on to employment as a machinist and assembler with the former U. S. Gauge Division, AMETEK, Inc., where he proudly worked for 38 years until retiring in 1992.He was a member of West Swamp Mennonite Church, Quakertown, PA.An avid fisherman and hunter, Mr. Miller was a member of the Paletown Rod & Gun Club, Quakertown, PA, and the Delaware River Shad Fishermen's Association. A dedicated Philadelphia Phillies fan, he often spoke of how blessed he was to have wonderful neighbors in Bedminster.He is survived by three sons, Richard S. Miller and his wife Elaine, of Quakertown, PA, Scott Miller , of Perkasie, PA, and Randall S. Miller and his wife Barbara, of Doylestown, PA; four grandchildren, Wendy Greist and her husband David, Jeffrey Miller and his wife Shannon, Timothy Miller and his wife Olivia, and Zachary Miller; four great-grandchildren, Brody W. Miller, Cory Miller, Rachel Miller and Drew P. Morganstern; nephews and nieces; and his companion, Elaine Ewashko.He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Donna Frick, in 2024, and two brothers, John and William Miller.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday April 4, 2026, at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Sellersville Cemetery, Sellersville, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the West Swamp Mennonite Church, 2501 Allentown Road, Quakertown, PA 18951, or to the Delaware River Shad Fishermen's Association, 2440 W.
