Richard Runge

Richard A. Runge, 69, of Davenport, passed away on March 13, 2026, at MercyOne Genesis in Davenport.

Born on March 3, 1957, in Davenport, Richard was the son of William H. and Vera (Ullrich) Runge, Sr. He married Karen R. Schulz on August 8, 1998, in Rock Island. A dedicated assembler at Deere & Co. for many years, he was respected for his strong work ethic and his readiness to help anyone in need. Richard found great joy in restoring and riding Harley-Davidsons, cheering for his favorite NASCAR drivers, and spending quiet time with his beloved pets, whose companionship meant the world to him.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; son, Stephen Runge; stepson, Brian (Theresa) Schulz; stepdaughter, Dawn (Levi) Howard; four grandchildren; siblings, Bill (Kathy) Runge, Jr., Scott (Bobbi Jo) Runge, Lizabeth (Jeff) Langston, Trish (Willie) Negus, and Timothy (Stephanie) Runge; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
