February 25, 1950 March 7, 2026

Madera, CA

Richard Paul Bargamian, age 76, passed away at home on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

He is survived by his loving wife Jeanne, with whom he shared nearly 31 years of marriage. Their love story began in college and, after 25 years apart, came full circle to bloom again. He leaves behind his daughter Rachelle Bargamian and his grandchildren Jayden and Chasten, who called him “Papa.” He is also survived by his bonus daughter Kegan Finderup (Jens) and grandchildren Grenelei, Davin, and Dailon, who called him “Vo,” and his bonus son Kyle Marney (Leah) and grandchildren Margaux and Jentry, who also called him “Vo.” He is further survived by his sister Diane Musklin (Greg), his nieces and their families, and many cousins.

Richard grew up in the Fresno area, attending Orange Center, Washington Colony, Washington Union High School, and Fresno City College. His life was deeply rooted in farming, from the family vineyards to those he rented and worked himself. His varied career included early jobs such as box boy at Zahigian’s Market, drafting trusses for housing contractors, and positions with Gallo and Sunmaid Packing. He was later recruited by N.A.U. Insurance as an adjuster and advanced to Vice President of the Crop Insurance Division for all of the Western United States at Great American Insurance Company. In retirement, he returned to his farming roots as a Blue Diamond Almond Grower.

He loved the Lord, his family, drag racing, funny cars, sprint car racing, his San Francisco Giants and 49ers, trips to the coast, and good food. He cherished his conversations with Walter, cousin Larry, Carl, Rick, and many others, especially over the last two years. He was predeceased by his parents Paul and Velma Bargamian, his in-laws George and Olivia Tavares, his brother-in-law George A. Tavares, and Daine and Dillon Finderup. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
