Richard Packard ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Anderson-Marry Funeral Home - Adrian Chapel on Mar. 13, 2026.ADRIAN-Richard Douglas Packard, age 72, of Adrian, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at the University of Michigan Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born October 14, 1953 in Tecumseh, Michigan to Francis and Ruth (Holmes) Packard. Richard worked Peerless Gear for many years before his retirement. Richard loved all kinds of animal especially his cats, and for a time even raised Guinea pigs. He enjoyed a good blood Mary, on his trips to Applebee's or out with friends and family. Richard enjoyed watching NASCAR, and football, especially the Detroit Lions and the University of Michigan. He enjoyed riding motorcycles for many years. He also enjoyed gardening and making spicy foods.Richard is survived by his daughter; Cynthia (Tim) Ferguson of Bellevue, Ohio, grandsons; Evan Cendrowski, Tyler (Kaitlyn) Jospeh, and Maddox Good; great-grandson; Nate, and special friends Laynette Bumgarner and Nick (Tammy) Sargent, and many nieces and nephews. Richard is preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Bruce, Barry, Brian, Terry and Tim Packard and Brynn Tiede.Visitation for Richard will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home – Adrian, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with a Funeral Service taking place at 1:00 pm with Pastor Greg Burdine Officiating.Memorial contributions can be made to the Lenawee Humane Society.
