Richard Martin Marek

In honor of Richard M. Marek, age 90, formerly of East Troy and a native of Milwaukee, WI, who went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 8, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 70 years, Theresa; their children Ken, Bob (Janine), Teri (Greg) Spoolhoff, Tom (Terri), John and Dan (Maureen); and his grandchildren Chelsea Salas, Rebecca (Ben) Kaufman, Chad (Chelsea) Spoolhoff, Ryan, Matt, Nicole, Katie, Angela, Jenna and Cassandra. He is also lovingly remembered by his great grandchildren Sara Salas, Trinity Salas, Deztanee Salas, Victoria Salas, Ryan Jr. and Charlotte Spoolhoff, with one more grandson on the way. He is preceded in death by his sister Marion (the late Ken) Cox, and his brother James (the late Marion) Marek. Richard lived a life defined by his faith in Jesus Christ, service, and a deep devotion to his family and community. His faith shaped the way he lived and how he treated others—with kindness, patience, and wisdom. Those who knew him often sought his counsel and encouragement. He shared a bountiful and beautiful life with Theresa and he treasured the role he played within his family. His quiet strength, steady leadership, and genuine compassion left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Richard’s legacy lives on in the many lives he touched—as a tireless servant with unwavering faith, a loving and dedicated family man, and a mentor whose example will continue to inspire others. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lakewood Baptist Church, W274 N1490 Riverland Dr. Pewaukee, WI at 1:00 on Saturday, March 21, 2026 with light refreshments served.
