He is survived by: his children, Linda Barnes (Dave), Susan Babcock (Lewis), Debbie Steiner (Craig), Ronald Barnes, Richard Barnes (Lois) and Carla Barnes; his grandchildren, Dawn Riggs, Kendra Lesner (Steve), Kristin Jones (Matt), Brittany McMahon (Patrick), Lisa Mellon, Matthew Steiner, Michelle Lemire (Drew U'Ren), Colin Turner (Nina Taban), Shayla Barnes, Tyler Montgomery (Hope), Cindy Browning-Gillum (Doug), April Browning and Amy Browning; his great grandchildren, Justin Riggs (Jocelyn), Ryan Riggs (Kayla), Dylan Riggs (Halle), Declan Lesner, Colter Lesner, Reese Jones, Regan Jones, Brooklyn McMahon, Camden McMahon, Shaidyn McMahon, Jason Hill, Azariia Clark, Zamiah Roquemore, Abigail Gessner, Kyle Browning-Gillum, Matthew Mason, Taylor Mason, Aspen Bray and Dyani Bouch; and his great great grandchildren, Jameson Riggs and Oakley Riggs.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Olinger Hampden Mortuary & Cemetery (8600 E Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80231). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Fort Logan National Cemetery (4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236).
