Richard Lee Hahn, Sr.

Richard Lee Hahn, Sr., 76, of Rohrersville, Maryland, passed away on March 10, 2026, at Doey’s House in Hagerstown. He was the devoted husband of Mary Hahn for 57 years.

Born on December 30, 1949, in Brownsville, Maryland, he was the son of the late Charles T. and Helen (Badger) Hahn. A 1968 graduate of Boonsboro High School, Richard spent 43 years working at Canam Steel before retiring. He found great joy in gardening, being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with his beloved dog, Willie.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, and their three sons: Richard L. “Tater” Hahn, Jr. and wife Donna of Hagerstown, Terry L. Hahn and wife Loree of Keedysville, and David A. Hahn and wife Edna of Hagerstown. He also leaves behind five grandchildren—Stacie Banzhoff and husband Samuel of Keedysville, Brittany Horner and husband Joey of Germantown, Jessica Miller and fiancé Bryson, Patricia Hahn, and William Hahn, both of Hagerstown—and five great-grandchildren, Skylee, Brody, Brentley, Axel, and Addison. Richard was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Robert, and a sister, Betty Root.
