It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard L. Nilges of Westphalia, Missouri, who passed away on March 8, 2026, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Nilges and Erma Nilges (Descher); his brother Daniel Nilges; and his nephew Gary Nilges. He is survived by: his wife Barb; his children, Cory Nilges (Tricia) and Kellie Bertels (Jared); his grandchildren, Kendal Nilges, Eliza Nilges, Addisyn Nilges and Lacy Bertels; and his siblings, Judy Howell, Kenny Nilges (Debbie), Janice Nilges, Jerry Nilges (Diane) and Randy Nilges (Denise).

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (125 E Main St, Westphalia, MO 65085). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
