Richard LaBrash, age 75, of Salem, Missouri, passed away on March 3, 2026.
He is survived by his wife, Judith LaBrash; son Jason LaBrash and wife Angie of Fenton, Missouri; grandson Zachary LaBrash and partner Nathan of Las Vegas; granddaughters Madison LaBrash and partner Garret of Salem, Missouri, and Lexie and Lori LaBrash of Fenton, Missouri; and two loving great-grandchildren, Xavier and Luna Brown of Salem, Missouri. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Cleoni LaBrash of Bowling Green, Missouri; brother David Ray and wife Debbie of Kearney, Missouri; and sisters Mildred Smith of Salem, Missouri, and Linda Jennings and husband Melvin of Salem, Missouri.
Richard served eight years in the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. After his military service, he made his home in Salem, where he lived and worked for many years. An entrepreneur and inventor at heart, he was always seeking ways to solve everyday challenges and create practical solutions. He remained deeply committed to his community, volunteering with several local organizations, and found special purpose in helping fellow veterans connect with the resources and support they needed. Above all, he cherished time spent with his beloved wife, Judith, and his family.
He was preceded in death by his son, Richard LaBrash Jr.; his parents, Marion and Virginia (Gorman) LaBrash; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Claude and Lois Hubbs; special parents Vernon and Mildred Ray; brothers George LaBrash, Charles LaBrash, Joe Ray, Johnny Ray, and Vernon Ray; brothers-in-law Junior Hubbs, Ronald Hubbs, Joe Hubbs, and Cal Jones; and sister-in-law Gail Hubbs.
