August 7, 1953— March 4, 2026
McKinney, TX
Richard Keith Randall, known affectionately as Rick, age 72, passed away on March 4, 2026, in McKinney, Texas. Born on August 7, 1953, in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, to George and Lucille (Niehaus) Randall, Rick grew up in his hometown and graduated from Detroit Lakes High School in 1972. He then served his country honorably for ten years in the United States Navy.
In 1983, Rick married the love of his life, Paula Herron Ulch, in Celina, Texas. Their marriage of 42 years was built on deep faith, steadfast love, and a strong commitment to family. A longtime member of Community North Baptist Church, Rick spent 35 years with Lone Star Gas, later Atmos Energy, where he took quiet pride in his work and in providing for those he loved.
Rick found joy in restoring his classic car and spending hours tinkering in the garage. He possessed a genuine passion for music and a beautiful singing voice that touched many. While serving in the Navy, he was the lead singer of a band that performed across genres, and later he shared his gift through the church choir and a ministry that brought him to church services, weddings, charity events, and funerals.
Above all, Rick cherished time with his family. He especially loved having his grandchildren visit and faithfully attended their sporting events and activities. He is survived by his wife, Paula; son, Justin Randall and wife Tiffany; step-son, Chris Ulch and wife Shelley; granddaughters Savannah, Presley, and Holly; grandsons Conner and Lucas; great-grandchildren Camden and Ava; sister Sharon; brothers Mark, Gary, and Bob; and many other loving family members and friends who will miss him deeply and treasure his memory always.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lucille Randall; sisters Jeanie and Roseann; and his mother- and father-in-law, Ernest and Della Herron.
