Richard J. Melancon

He was predeceased by: his wife Gloria O. Melancon; his parents, Nara Melancon and Olive Clement Melancon; his son Gerard Melancon; and his brothers, Nathan, Raymond, Murray and Robert Melancon.

He is survived by: his daughters, Sissy Falgoust (Ricky) and Michelle Arceneaux (Paul); his grandchildren, Heather Ledet (Jory), Corey Melancon (Maria), Casey Marmande (Jean), Brookes Borne (Ryan), MacKenzie and Peyton Bourg; and his great grandchildren, Jaxon, Lillian, Owen Ledet, Elyse, Demi Melancon, Cooper Cook, Cate Marmande, Paul, Lucy and Sara Jane Borne.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Co-Cathedral (721 Canal Blvd, Thibodaux, LA 70301). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
