Dick was born on July 18, 1946 in Greene, NY. He was theson of the late Irving and Gertrude (McCombs) Coleman. Dick was a graduate of Whitney PointHigh School and attended Cornell University, where he received an associate's degree. Dickproudly served his country in the Navy during Vietnam from 1967 to 1970. He was a life-longdairy farmer, returning to the family farm after his military service.Dick was predeceased by his parents, Irving and Gertrude (McCombs) Coleman, and his olderbrother William I. Coleman. He is survived by his sister-in-law Barbara H. Coleman of Oneonta,his nephew Jason (Jill) Coleman of Delhi, and niece Carrie (Tom) Campbell of Huntingdon Valley,PA; great-niece and nephews: Jessica and Jared Coleman, Declan, Braden, Rowan and KiernanCampbell, and his cousin, Stanley (Vanessa) Coleman of Smithville Flats. Dick is also survived byhis beloved dog, Fred, as well as many close friends and neighbors.Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 11-12 on Saturday, March 21, 2026,at the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 2659 Main Street, Whitney Point, with a service tofollow at 12pm. A committal service will occur in the spring in Greene, NY.In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Dick may be made to the Union VolunteerEmergency Squad, Inc, or online at UnionEMS.com; Broome County Meals on Wheels, P.
