Richard E. Littlefield

September 6, 1947 March 8, 2026

Springville, UT

Richard E. “Rick” Littlefield, age 78, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026. Born on September 6, 1947, in Provo, Utah, to Milt R. Littlefield and Helen Loveless Littlefield, Rick grew up in Utah County and graduated from Orem High School in 1965. He attended Brigham Young University, then served in the United States Army Reserves before transferring to the National Guard, where he served honorably until his discharge in December 1971.

Rick was married to Tamaree Russell Littlefield. Though they later divorced, they remained lifelong friends and stayed deeply committed to their family. He worked 31 years for the phone company, retiring in May 1998. Known for his remarkable mechanical and electrical skills, Rick could fix almost anything. He would research, study, and patiently work on a problem until it was solved; if it could not be repaired, he accepted that it simply was not meant to be. Always generous with his knowledge, he readily showed up with tools in hand to help neighbors, friends, and family alike. He lived simply and quietly, yet left a strong impression through his practical wisdom and steady presence.

Rick loved to tell jokes and seemed to have an endless supply of them. Once he heard a good one, he never forgot it, and he enjoyed sharing laughter with family and friends whenever the chance arose.

He is survived by his former spouse and lifelong friend, Tamaree Russell Littlefield; his children Tamaree Yvette Kofford (Jayson Yates), Lisa Collette Larsen and John Larsen, Richard Daimon Littlefield, and Justin Blair Littlefield; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Becky Sumner (Brent Sumner), Brent Littlefield (Joyce Littlefield), and Nyal Littlefield (Cherri Littlefield). Rick was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Gary Littlefield and Launa Littlefield Street.
