Richard Douglas Nott, age 85, of Fremont, passed away on March 6, 2026 at The Heritage at Fox Run in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Richard lived a full life in Fremont, where he was known for his steady presence, quiet strength, and deep commitment to his community and faith. He shared many years with his wife Marilyn, and the two remained inseparable even in their final journey. Together they touched the lives of family and friends through their enduring partnership and shared values.

He leaves behind loved ones who will remember him for the genuine care he showed others and the simple, steadfast way he moved through the world. A combined service with Richard and Marilyn will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont, with burial in the Hooper Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the church or Cedar Bluffs VFD.
