Richard Delbert Guy

Richard Delbert Guy, age 84, of Columbiana, died on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Windsor House at Parkside Health Care Center, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on May 23, 1941, in Salem, he was the son of the late Charles Guy. Richard grew up in Elkton with his grandmother Lillian Stack and became a permanent fixture in the household of his uncle Ben and aunt Bev Rittegers. He cherished his time growing up with his cousins, who felt like siblings to him.

He retired from Columbiana Boiler as a drill press operator. Richard enjoyed fishing, raccoon hunting, and eating at Paul’s in Columbiana. He was well known for walking through town wearing his straw hat and carrying his walking stick.

Richard married Marie Belle Bartholomew on April 4, 1982. She preceded him in death on March 11, 2008.

He is survived by his son, Kurt Guy of East Liverpool; a stepdaughter, Carol Westover; two stepsons, Robert (Beth) Westover and Stan (Amy) Westover; seventeen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
