Richard Longest ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center on Mar. 3, 2026.MITCHELL – Richard Bryan Longest, 58, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026, at IU Health Hospice House.Born February 3, 1968, in Paoli, he was the son of Richard Oliver and Linda Kay (Knight) Longest.Bryan was a member of The Bride of Christ Fellowship. He loved music – writing songs and playing his guitar. Bryan also enjoyed drawing. He loved being an uncle and great-uncle.Surviving are his siblings, Rebecca (Tony) George of Mitchell, Melinda (Billy) Edmonson of Mitchell, and Eva Dicks of Mitchell; nieces and nephews, Chris George, Kayla George, Austin Longest, Nicole (Robert) Allen, Destiny (Cody) Garrison, Marah Roop, and Davaney Roop; and several great nieces and nephews.His parents and infant sister, Susan Longest, preceded him in death.Cremation has been chosen.
