Richard Brand

Richard Brand, 74, of Guysville, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

Born on October 20, 1951, in Zanesville, Ohio, he was the son of the late James Ralph and Daisy Abrams Brand. Richard devoted nearly three decades to his work with Big Bear in Columbus and Athens and Kroger in Athens, followed by 17 years as a bus driver for the Alexander School District. He was a longtime attendee of South Canaan Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marlene Tedrick Brand; his son, Matthew Brand; his daughter, Tina (Hugues) Pineault; grandson Dominic Gibson; granddaughter Nadine Pineault; his sister, Shirley Duhamel; and sister-in-law Roxie Brand.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his brother, James Brand; his sister and brother-in-law, Grace Ann and Gene Clapper; and his brother-in-law, Floyd Duhamel.
