Richard Atkinson

Richard "Rich" Eric Atkinson born September 17, 1973, to Jay and Charlene Atkinson. Rich was the 17th of 17 children, so he was fearless. On Monday March 2, 2026, Rich passed away surrounded by his loved ones. Rich celebrated 33 years of marriage with his soulmate Elenior "Ellie" Kathleen Atkinson, during which time they had 3 kids; Denyce Atkinson, Jaymie Atkinson, and Brandon Atkinson; a daughter in law, Kendra Atkinson; and 3 grandchildren, Kato Cale, Kohwen Martinez and Shayne Cale.

First and foremost, Richard was a dedicated family man who could be found outside with his loved ones enjoying time together. Secondly, Richard was a machinist by trade.

A viewing will be held Friday, March 13, 2026, at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah 84403, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A celebration of life will follow at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 220 W 975 N, Sunset, UT 84015, from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
