He was born November 8, 1948, in El Paso, Texas. Fred honorably served in the U.S. Navy before building a long and successful career in the oil industry, including many years at the Mobil Oil Refinery in Torrance, California.Fred was known for his strong will, hardworking spirit, and quiet determination. He dedicated himself to providing for his family and building a life through perseverance and resilience. Those who knew him understood that his stubbornness was part of the strength that carried him through life.A lover of independence who never wanted to burden others, Fred was deeply cherished by his family and friends. He found joy and peace in fishing, savoring the simple pleasure of being near the water.He was preceded in death by his beloved wife and soulmate of 50 years, Ada Pinon, who passed away in 2022.Fred is survived by his daughter, Julie Rodgers, and her husband Cj; his grandchildren, Melissa (Mike) Mueller, Michael (Ritchelle) Vaughan, Kyle (Jenna) Rodgers, and Jessy Rodgers; and his great-grandsons, Wesley Mueller, Emmett Mueller, and Cassidy Vaughan. He will also be fondly remembered by neighbors, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.Fred's family will remember him for his generosity, determination, and quiet care for those around him.
