He was born July 5, 1947 in Hicksville, Ohio to the late James and Margaret Shell Gibbs. Mr. Gibbs was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Gibbs.Surviving Mr. Gibbs is his wife of 58 years, Mary Keathly Gibbs; son, Russell Gibbs (Dana) of Cabot; grandson, Deagan Gibbs; siblings, Ann Russell, Peggy Magdalleno and Danny Gibbs (Pat) and his dog, Bear.Visitation for Mr. Gibbs will be from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. and the funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 20, 2026 in the chapel of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with Dr. David Mitchell officiating.
