He was predeceased by: his parents, Guillermo, Sr. Vasquez and Amelia Lopez Vasquez; and his siblings, Susie Sandoval, Janie Apaleta and Robert "Bob" Vasquez.

He is survived by: his wife Debra K. Mauch Vasquez of Kenedy; his children, Douglas Rose, Jr. (Debra) of Kenedy, Kristy Rose of Kenedy and Wacey Rose of Weatherford; and his siblings, Lupe Munoz, Richard Sauceda of Kenedy, Raul Vasquez of Victoria and Guillermo Vasquez, Jr. of Austin. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Eckols Funeral Home Chapel (420 W Live Oak St, Kenedy, TX 78119). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
