Ricardo Eric DeLeon, III.

Ricardo Eric DeLeon, III was born on May 19, 2005, in Madera, California, and passed away on March 6, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 20. A dedicated Aviation Electrician in the United States Navy, he advanced to the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class. His commitment to service reflected the same sense of responsibility and steadiness that those close to him admired throughout his life.

A 2023 graduate of H.M. King High School, Ricardo was known for his unique spirit and lighthearted moments, including the time he and friends shaved their hair and eyebrows at school. He found joy in gaming on Xbox with friends, going to the movies, listening to music, and staying active at the gym. He held a special affection for his dogs, who were among his closest companions.

Quietly kind and welcoming, Ricardo was initially shy but revealed a wonderful sense of humor once comfortable. He remained respectful, considerate, and compassionate, always ready to support others without complaint. His chill and carefree demeanor put people at ease, and family and friends cherished his comforting presence and ability to make them feel welcome.

He took pride in personal milestones such as winning first place in his division at a Grappling Tournament, learning to cook, and earning his driver’s license. Ricardo’s family will fondly remember summers spent together in Madera, skating in New York under the tree, and the first and last fishing trip he shared with his father, a memory they both treasured.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Enrique “Henry” Quijada, and paternal great-grandparents, Manuel and Rosa Montoya. Ricardo is survived by his wife, Sarah Trevino; parents, Ricardo II and Daniella DeLeon, and Janet DeLeon; siblings, Angela Franco, Kali DeLeon, and Daniel DeLeon; maternal grandmother, Cecilia Quijada; paternal grandparents, Rosa and Michael Sullivan, and Ricardo DeLeon, Sr.; aunts, Stephanie and Jose Leal, and Vanessa and Mario Rodriguez; along with numerous cousins, extended family, friends, and his military family.
