Rhonda Sue Short Eldridge

Rhonda Sue Short Eldridge, age 55, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026. Born on February 4, 1971, in Dalton to the late Randal Ridley and Vivian Sue Shook Fountain, Rhonda graduated from Southeast Whitfield High School before attending Dalton Beauty College. She built a long and successful career as a hair stylist, working with Great Clips and SmartStyle, where her passion for cutting hair and helping others look and feel their best shone through.

Beyond her work, Rhonda found joy in fishing, gardening, and spending time at the beach whenever she could. She cherished her beloved dogs, Daisy, Tyra, and Maximus. Those who knew her will remember her warm and lovable spirit.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her father, Randal Ridley, and her uncle, Ricky Shook. She is survived by her mother, Vivian Sue Shook Fountain; her children, Chyna Cheyanne Wilson and Austin (Tuana) Eldridge; the father of her children, Donnie Eldridge; her brother, Michael Todd (Lacey) Ridley; and her grandson, Landen Cade Wilson. She is also survived by her uncles Jerry Shook and Robby Shook and their families, her aunts Theresa Shook and Darline Shook, her nephew Grayson Cole Ridley, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews from both sides of her family.
