Rhonda Cranford Moody

Rhonda Cranford Moody, 62, of Honey Grove, Texas, passed away on March 9, 2026, surrounded by her family at her home. Born on January 10, 1964, in Corpus Christi, Texas, she was a beloved mother, MiMi, sister, and teacher whose warmth and compassion touched everyone she met.

A dedicated educator at Fannindel ISD, Rhonda saw teaching as a calling rather than a job. She embraced her students as her own, offering them unwavering love, guidance, and encouragement that reached far beyond the classroom. She took special joy in serving as Beta Club sponsor and creating lasting memories while traveling with her students.

Deeply rooted in her faith, Rhonda was a longtime member of Fairview Baptist Church in Windom. She prayed faithfully for others, welcomed everyone with an open heart, and never met a stranger. Her strong patriotism was evident in the simple joy she found in photographing the American flag to share with loved ones.

Rhonda was the proud mother of four children and claimed many more as her own. Her greatest delight was being Mimi to her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doyle and Paula Cranford; grandparents, Paul and Frances Poston; and uncle, Morris Poston.

She is survived by her children: Vanessa Barker and husband Billy, Paula Bonner and husband Charles, Paul Moody, and Britt Moody and wife Michelle; grandchildren Bentleigh, Kamora, Malakhi, Whitley, Keagan, Krue, Waylon, and Alaina Rhonda-Jo Bonner; siblings Michelle Greer (Bobby), Danielle Cranford (Kirby), Robin Cranford, Glen Cranford, and Doyle “Sonny” Cranford Jr.; uncle Jinkie Poston (Mabel); and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
