Rhonda Colleen Krauss, 69, of Bardstown, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at her home. Born on December 19, 1956, in Marion County, she was a devoted homemaker and formerly served as an EMT with Nelson County EMS. Rhonda deeply loved her grandchildren and was known as a mother to all — selfless, loving, and giving, she was truly the rock of her family.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Michael “Hank” Krauss; her parents, Joseph Leo and Mary Belle Lee Hutchins; three brothers, Dale Anthony, Kenneth Leo, and James Harold “Harry” Hutchins.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Clark; three children, Melissa Soria (DeWayne Thomas), Colleen Krauss Simpson (Brandon), and Hank Krauss, Jr. (Sarah), all of Bardstown; six grandchildren, Grace, Harper, Travis Jr., Summer, Jaxon, Jett, and twin grandchildren on the way; two stepchildren, David Krauss and Dawn Krauss Willingham, both of Robertsdale, Alabama; four step grandchildren, Logan, Owen, Heather and T.J.; three sisters, Rosemary Mattingly (Larry) of Louisville, Rita Hutchins of Santa Clara, California, and Renee Jennings (Brad) of Campbell, California; three brothers, Philip Hutchins (Judy) of New Haven, Jerry Hutchins (Dottie) of Bardstown, and Paul Hutchins (Diane) of Cape Coral, Florida.
Funeral Services for Rhonda Colleen Krauss will be held at 11 am Monday, March 16, 2026, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto. Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant will officiate. Interment will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
The visitation is 3-8 pm Sunday at Mattingly Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 pm.
