Rex Joseph Angelle, Jr.

Rex “Butch” Joseph Angelle, Jr., 75, of Lafayette, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Butch shared 50 years of marriage with his wife, Debra Angelle of Lafayette. He is survived by their two children, Autumn Angelle Sanchez and her husband Orlando of Lafayette, and Rex Angelle, III and his wife Lucy of Lafayette; five grandchildren, Jordan, Briel, Cayson, Kehlani, and Isleya; one great-grandson, Jace; and his sister, Della Angelle of Tennessee.

Butch found deep joy in hunting and fishing throughout his life. Above all, he cherished the time spent with family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of love and quiet devotion. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rex and Ann Angelle, and his sisters, Mary Angelle and Michele Angelle.
