Rev. Shirley Jean Pruitt

Rev. Shirley Jean Pruitt, age 67, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. A woman of deep faith and quiet strength, Shirley devoted her life to her loved ones and her spiritual calling. She was an ordained minister and active member of New Hope Holiness, where she found great joy singing hymns alongside her husband, Bill.

Shirley married the love of her life, William “Bill” Pruitt, and together they created a home filled with love and laughter. She found simple pleasures in fishing and creating beautiful crochet pieces, activities that reflected her gentle spirit and brought her peace. Her kindness, compassion, and steadfast faith left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Beulah Briggs; her husband, William “Bill” Pruitt; her daughter-in-law, Tiffany Pruitt; her son-in-law, Chris Seiber; her brothers, Robert Briggs, Johnell Briggs, and AG Briggs; her mother-in-law, Juanita Harris; and her father-in-law, John Robert Harris.

Shirley is survived by her sons, William Lynn Pruitt and Jeremy Dewayne Pruitt; her daughters, Michelle Dalton (Brandon) and Alisa Ann Seiber; many grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
