Rev. Edward Conner Kirkpatrick

Rev. Edward Conner Kirkpatrick, age 89, of Nebo, passed away on Thursday afternoon, March 12, 2026, at Mission Hospital McDowell.

Born in McDowell County on May 11, 1936, to the late Rayburn Newton Kirkpatrick and Flora Morrow Kirkpatrick, Eddie was ordained in the Free Will Baptist Church in his early twenties. A faithful servant of the Lord, he pastored many churches throughout his long preaching career and most recently attended Clinchfield Baptist Church. In addition to his ministry, he founded Kirkpatrick Tool Rental in 1990. Skilled with his hands, Eddie took great pride in woodworking and building, devoting careful attention to every project he undertook. Above all, he was a loving father, grandfather, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Finley Kirkpatrick, and one son, Carroll Kirkpatrick.

Those left to cherish his memory are two children, Jeannie Clontz (Jerry) and Robert Kirkpatrick (Tammy); daughter-in-law, Donna Marlow Kirkpatrick; two grandchildren, Nick Kirkpatrick (Desarae) and Matthew Kirkpatrick; one great-granddaughter, Kaley Kirkpatrick; one brother, Bill Kirkpatrick (Trish); and numerous nieces and nephews.
