Renee White Guthrie, 65, of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away on March 8, 2026, in Lubbock, Texas. Born on December 24, 1960, to Wayne and Kathy White, she graduated from Coronado High School in 1979.
Renee married the love of her life, Ronnie Guthrie, on November 14, 1998, in Lubbock, Texas. Together they made their home in Lubbock, Wimberley, Bovina, and finally Clovis, New Mexico.
An avid horse lover, Renee found deep joy in riding and participating in play days. She was a dedicated supporter of rodeo, working with the Clovis Pioneer Days Rodeo and the New Mexico State Fair Rodeo, where she coordinated mutton bustin’ and flags. She generously mentored many young women as they became rodeo queens, teaching them about the rodeo industry, public speaking, horsemanship, and other essential skills. She also took great pleasure in helping her children with FFA and livestock showing, and in lending a hand to friends near and far.
Renee is survived by her husband, Ronnie Guthrie of Clovis, New Mexico; son Dustin Martin and wife Jennifer of Lubbock, Texas; son Bryan Martin and wife Kalli of Floydada, Texas; daughter Deanne Guthrie; son Rhett Guthrie; step-son Ronnie Lee Guthrie; brother Brad White and wife Sheila of Lubbock, Texas; brothers-in-law Billy Guthrie and wife Tina of New Braunfels, Texas, and Jeff Guthrie of Chandler, Texas; sisters-in-law Leslie Roberts and husband Terry of Portales, New Mexico, Donna Blackwell and husband Bradley of Portales, New Mexico, Ann Marie Jones and husband Joey McClanahan of Littlefield, Texas, and Heather Duff and husband Parker of Lubbock, Texas; granddaughters Kimber Guthrie, Reina Martin, Arly Martin, and MacKenzie Martin; grandson Levi Guthrie; and stepmother-in-law Patsy Guthrie of Littlefield, Texas. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Kathy White; father-in-law John Guthrie; and mother-in-law Carolyn Pruitt.
