Remedios "Remy" Renfroe

Remedios (Remy) Rivera Renfroe, born July 27, 1969, passed away on March 5, 2026. She leaves behind a life marked by deep devotion to her family, her faith, and her community. A longtime and cherished member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Lakeland, Florida, Remy was actively involved in the Emmaus group, the Bereavement Team, and the Resurrection Council of Catholic Women. Her compassionate presence and quiet willingness to serve reflected a generous spirit that touched many.

Remy found joy in simple, meaningful pursuits. She had a keen eye for beauty and loved photographing nature and capturing moments with family and friends. She took great pleasure in cooking and sharing meals with loved ones, and she tended a vibrant garden that yielded ube, pineapple, and many other fruits and flowers.

She was preceded in death by her father, Alfon Rivera. Remy is survived by her husband, Larry Renfroe; her mother, Nicetas Rivera; her sisters, Magie Vertierra (Rolando), Marivic Nodado (Cristino), Cherry Ricanor (Marlon), Pecca Kho (Jingle), and Chona Rivera; her brother, Juan Geralf Rivera (Marivic); her mother-in-law, Doris Renfroe; her brother-in-law, Leslie Renfroe; her sister-in-law, Karen Woodward (Daniel); and many beloved nieces and nephews. Those who knew her will remember her kindness, love, and steadfast devotion.
