Pearline Regina (Mathis) Williams, 73, of Pampa and formerly of Denver, Colorado, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in Pampa.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Open Door Church of God in Christ with pastor Herman Moore, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Regina was born on August 2, 1952, in Pampa to Earnest and Precious Mathis. She graduated from Pampa High School and then went to Parks College in Denver, Colorado to study business. After college, Regina went to work for AT&T in Denver for many years.
Regina had a passion for music. While growing up in Pampa, Regina and her family were heavily involved at the Open Door Church of God in Christ. She was a talented pianist and singer; she played piano for the church congregation and choir. Regina was a brilliant woman, she was an avid historian who read many books about both World Wars. Regina was a fan of the Andy Griffith Show and never missed an episode. She loved her family dearly and was known to have great wisdom and foresight.
Regina was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest Lee Mathis, Sr., and Precious Anderson Mathis; two brothers, John Mathis, and James Mathis; a sister, Carolyn Ronell Mathis; and a nephew, William Rogers.
She is survived by her son, Dietric Williams and wife Kara; two grandsons, Carter, and Dietric, Jr.; three brothers, Earnest Lee Mathis, Jr., Stanley Mathis, and Esteven Mathis; one sister, Sharon Mathis-Olulu; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made in Regina’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to Open Door Church of God in Christ, 402 W. Oklahoma St., Pampa, TX, 79065.
